You don't go to Guimaras without trying their mangoes. The Guimaras folks take pride in their mangoes from low fruit-bearing mango trees which yield those sweet fruits only after 5 years.
Tried the fresh fruits from tiny stalls lining the coastal roads of the island, as well as the dried mangoes, mango ketchup, mango sauce and mango piayaya.
The mango ketchup and sauce taste good enough as both dip and salad dressing. McNesters has a kitchen run by an ex-OFW who came up with this "hit"!
Oh well, off to the next shopping pitstop. Life is a celebration!
