Choices. Choices. Choices. But it's NOT your run-of-the-mill food court. Way better. With staff doing the rounds to clear your table and refill your glasses with ice cold water.

You'll love the vibe here. Casual but elegant. Nothing fancy, but classy. High ceiling, clean, cool and cheerful!

Whether you're out for late breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner or late snacks, THIS IS THE PLACE for a casual meal. Mexican, Vietnamese, American, heavy, healthy and light --- many choices here.

For sure we'll be back to check out the other food stalls. The Skinny Bitch drink looks intriguing. The many other cookies in Scout's Honor draws me in. The chicken in Bad Bird is interesting. And so many other choices!

There is also the choice of dining in or outside. On a cool evening, the latter should be a good option. Especially for smokers?

Whatever your options, Hole In The Wall at the top level of Century Mall along Kalayaan Avenue in Makati's Poblacion is a good choice.

DID I SAY WE'D BE BACK? We sure did! Back to Posporo for their kesong puti & sisig salad and their nachos with carne asado. The elves? Oh, they had their fill of BAD BIRD. Yum!

DIY in Project Pie

It's a Sunday. Past 3pm. And there's a good crowd in Project Pie. All for the love of a customized, personalized pizza.

Each of my 2 elves built, designed and created their own pizza. For less than P300, you get a small-sized pizza topped by your favorites.

Picture

As expected, Martin's was more meaty while Patricia's pizza was cheesier. Tried half a slice of each and got to say i like both. The thin crust is good and the cheese toppings are generous!

Next time I'd try the basic cheese pizza with some basil leaves. No worries if you're too lazy to build your own pizza. There's a list of "standards" which you can order.

You can spot Project Pie along Shaw Blvd across the former Cherry Foodarama and right in front of the Laurel House.

PS. That next time found us in Project Pie in Ayala's Park Square. Crust still good; service tops. We built 3 pizzas this time-- the cheesier the better. Judge for yourself!

PAPA DIDDI's ICE CREAM

4/10/2015

It stood right beside Crepeman along Maginhawa Street in Quezon City. What a perfect way to end a meal of crepes & shakes!

Picture

And they said they couldn't finish their shakes from Crepeman 😜. One look at the ice cream flavors and the P25 ice cream rice nest and they're won over!

Picture

It's a major decision to choose which flavor. Believe me, it took us quite a while. Cagayan Tsokolate? Davao Meets Bicol? Kalinga Black Rice? Too Early For Halloween? Backyard Farm Tarragon? And yes, it took us many "tasting spoons". Ahem.

Picture

The ice cream nest is a winner. Only costs P25 so it's a no-brainer. My teens munched through that nest like gluttons. And they earlier said they were too full to finish off their shakes. 😜

Picture

I bet they'd come out with more and bolder flavors next time around. Sure bet we'd be back!

Another Meal @ PEPPER LUNCH

I always dread smelling like my lunch whenever we dine here, but food's good and value-for-money. Besides, the teens don't care if they smell like what they just ate.

I have yet to eat something here which I don't like. Salmon, chicken, beef or pork, I have always enjoyed my meals here. No frills, nothing fancy, but value-for-money good food. Oh, have I said that?

Even their green tea ice cream is good. Told ya, it never missed a spot!

CREPEMAN IN MAGINHAWA ST.

Maginhawa Street in Quezon City is such a haven for good, affordable eats. Student prices, you may say. So those who go to UP and are crazy over crepes.... this place is for you.

Picture

They also have drinks like kiwi shakes with basil leaves along with your usual shakes and sodas. I tried the kiwi shake and actually liked it!

Picture

At the time we dined here, there were just 2 ladies manning the shop but I've got to say they were quite efficient. Tables kept clean, orders promptly delivered, cheerful service. The young twenty-something entrepreneur behind Crepeman obviously trained them well. Bravo!

Picture

I only wish I know how to properly eat a crepe. Photo above doesn't look much as I've bitten from every possible corner of the crepe. 😄
